This is a matter of slight urgency. As urgent as a flubbed pie can be, anyway.

My granny and I intend to bake an apple pie for thanksgiving, but apparently the recipe calls for (a quarter teaspoon of) nutmeg.

Cinnamon is the only spice she has in (which she assumed it used, I'm guessing). About how much cinnamon would you suggest for four and a half cups of apple slices (each a quarter-inch thick)?

Thanks in advance. smile

Thanks. We decided on half a teaspoon, in the end.

The pies are made, and now we have the dinner tomorrow.
