Ok here is my lady - she turned out very bright. The colours remind me of indian saris or thai silk. Bruja, I decided to make every layer a texture fill, set as a multiply layer over your shading layer which is a method I've never used before. It was fun to do!!

It's just the regular bmp in the zip - no buyable. Funny how in Simpose the head scarf glitter fabric doesn't show up that much - in the game the glitter is brighter.

Maybe you should shut up and start skinning! bang

Not on this thread! I'll just stick to oohing and aahing here. If I do any skinning (which is a huge if at this point), it will definitely be on the Paint By Numbers thread you put so much work into. You wouldn't want to see me try to do it on my own.

Speaking of oohing and aahing, Thalia, your Manw is just excellent! You don't think I could find clothes like that, do you?

And Ruth, I love the lady. The glitter effect is just fantastic - I can't wait to play with her.

All right. I'm off to find a bandage for the head now...

Well here's my first attempt...I was going for the color blue to convey a feeling of winter, but now that I look at it, I'm not sure if I am in love with the choice of "fabric"

I really struggled with this mesh--skinning is still something I am learning, so be kind smile
Edited to add zips!

Very nice job, Ess! I particularly like the shinier fabric in the dress proper. It's wonderful!

Yes, nicely done, Ess. You did a really good job on that satin--I can tell it's the heavier "slipper" satin, as they call it, by the way it hangs.

Ruth, I think I know just what kind of silk you're talking about--the brocadey-type red or purple stuff that's shot with gold, and when you flip it over the colors of the pattern are reversed? Mmmmm, I love beautiful cloth.

Oops! When I reloaded the zip of my Persian Varda yesterday it looks like I included a bmp that wasn't saved properly (at any rate it showed up white in my game). I've re-uploaded it, so if you downloaded it earlier than this message do please download it again. Sorry about that!

Ess that is lovely! The satin brocade and the satin under dress came out really well. You shouldn't put your skills down! notworthy

Thalia, yes that's the type of fabric I was thinking of too. It's just gorgeous. Do you browse fabric in fabric stores just because you like looking at it?? I know I do! laugh

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it is possible to make satin look masculine.

Very nice, Ess.
