I have to say I'm having a very hard time finding things that are specifically Mexican. I've been using mostly Italian, Spanish or Portuguese stuff (when I can find it!) and I guess it's working okay so far. It's kind of weird. There's about a million and a half sites with really gorgeous Indian (India-Indian) or other Asian stuff, which strikes me as odd (probably just my Americanocentric view, really) and hardly anything Mexican, that I've seen. Maybe I'm just missing it?

So thank you for the WCIF thread.

Hi Tahlia,

Do you know about these sites?

Wondrheart's sims stuff
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/wondrheart/

TASims (now at one of the Savings the Sims groups
http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/savingthesims38/

Flotsim and Jetsim also had Mexican sets. Their stuff can be requested at N99 here:
http://starlightsims.yuku.com/topic/9224
(note you need to log into Yuku to access N99 - if you have an ezeboard account you can probably still get to it)

Gosh, that sounds an awful lot like my Akaren desert villages! Too bad I'm both not in the theme game right now, and "all built out" at the moment.

It's an SO challenge. Just come back to it when you're back in theme and ready to build. wink

Here it is at last! My challenge! I'll send myself my own challenge gift, BTW!

I apologize for the lack of cactus. I simply couldn't make space for a new plant collection. I decided that Sim Felix Fernandez is so rich he has water tanked in.

I had some fun with the rafters bleeding so I made a crawl space. That was new and different for me! biggrin

I see why you hit your download limit, Mars. Wonderful house. biggrin

I particularly like the small patio on the second floor. Very nice touch.

Senor Fernandez wouldn't be interested in selling, would he?

That's great, Susanne! (I notice it is warm enough to have breakfast in pajamas in your pictures!) smile

Wow, Mars, that is really gorgeous. I really like the tile work around the pool. And I can hear the floors creaking on the second floor. (For some reason that floor pattern looks creaky, I don't know.)

I have a couple where-can-I-finds but I'll ask them on the other thread. Though I am curious as to how Felix (or his gardener, since he clearly has the simoleans to hire one) waters the plants hanging over the front door. You know, the ones way up on the second floor. :)

Wait, is that what the ladder is for?

Susanne, while I'm sure New England winters are not anywhere near the Scandanavian sort, I know what you mean. Your house looks so warm inside! Beautiful job.

(And thanks, Ruth and Annette, for the links upthread. My entry's coming along!)

Susanne, I have tried 3 times to send your gift and it won't go through. I will try again later. Don't give up.

Great job Susanne and Mars!! Both are beautiful lots! I love that bedroom set you used Mars - the Lady's Bedroom - it's one of my favorites.
