This is a complete neighborhood that has had all of the Townies, Somebodies, Anybodies, Vacation families etc renamed after minor Harry Potter characters. So when your Sim goes downtown, they might run into Mafalda Hopkirk or Kingsley Shacklebolt. If they go to Studio Town, they can chat with Donaghan Tremlett, the bassist of the Weird Sisters. On vacation, they might meet the Terry Boot and his family. (Yes, I changed the last name of the Vacation families too.) All of the names were changed.
I used only minor HP character names as I assumed that you, like me, would like to create the Weasleys, Dursleys and other major characters as playable families. I also left the Maxis families such as the Goths (graveyard should work as ghosts were left in the characters folder) and the Hicks.
I did not dress the characters in appropriate skins though. Not knowing what skins everyone has in their game, the characters are still in Maxis clothes. If you don't know how to change the skins yourself, please ask in General and we'll give you several methods for doing that.

TO INSTALL-
Simply rename this UserData folder UserData9 or UserData10 or whatever neighborhood number you want it to be. Place it in your Sims folder and it should work, It worked well for me when I tried it in my second game but Karin had the Townies regenerate new names for some reason. If that happens to you, simply delete the UserData file.

I can'y download the neighbourhood it keeps saying that it is not valid and won't let me download it!! I love harry potter too! biggrin

I would absolutely love this as well! Is anyone else having trouble?

I just tested it and the link is working. However, as it is a HUGE file, any interference could knock out the download. You might try downloading at a lighter traffic time.

Thanks mars i will keep on trying! I have tryed 10 times all ready and it just keeps saying not a valid archive everytime i get to the winzip programme! sad

I will try again in about an hour and see if it works then! hug

It just wont download! I just tryed it again 3 times and it won't play nice! sad

Wow Mars, this is incredible - I can't imagine how much work you had to do - all the research of all the different names (not that it wouldn't be fun - reading those books is no work at all smile
