I have a question. What makes a bed "semi deco" abd how do I do that. Do I just put the same graphics on all 3 stages or is there a base out there for a semi deco bed?

I made this bed but it's being a real pain and the file is huge! So I was thinking of trying the "Semi Deco". Here's a look and Thanks for any help!

A bed with one graphic state? There's no base but I'd happily make one for you. I've never understood making a deco-only bed so peoploe can use an invisible bed with it. Making a "semi-deco" bed would work just as well but wiht a few advantages:

- the player can click on it
- it's one object out there instead of 2
- it's one object to hunt down in buymode instead of two

I even have a 2 rotation base that I could use if you'd prefer that.

Take the 2 rotation one - believe me - it is much better to deal with 2 rotation than 4 rotations !

Lovely bed btw !!!

notworthy notworthy 2 rotations and only 1 stage, I think I LOVE YOU! hug
That would be so great! Would the simmies still be able to sleep on it?
Either way, I'd love to have a base like that! Making beds would be so much easier! I don't care if their legs fold up all alien like, that's their problem! laugh
And can you make it out of a double bed?

I'm with you Susanne, 2 rotations... the only way to go! I haven't seen a 2 rotation base for a double bed, is there one? If so where? I need to get my little greedy fingers on that prize ASAP! blush

I wonder if you can use two rotations for a double bed? Wouldn't there be a problem with the two Sims in it if you flip the view in the DRGP?

if I understand Simnut correctly there's only to be a single graphic state so that wont be an issue.

Right! I just want the bed "made" and not have to mess with the "ready and sleep graphics" I don't even mind if it's 4 rotations if that would be easier for you to make. It's still a lot less work for me!
I have no clue what a DRGP is! blush

DRGPs (drawgroups) are the resources that contain the graphics sprites.

I was wondering about the Sims, but I realised later they will stay in one place, so it doesn't matter that the bed gets 'flipped' underneath them. :) :)

This one is four rotation. I've been too lazy to do the copy/paste fiddling needed to make a 2 rotation one so I figured I'd better just go ahead and give you this one.

Since there is no "messy" graphic to alert the player the bed needs tidying I went ahead and made it automatically make itself when the sim gets up.

No EP is required
I used the Vacation Beach bed graphics for this so it's nothing players will want to bother downloading.

And a mere 10 months later the 2 rotation version is available as well :)

No but as soon as the creators out there hear about this base ... Your going to be fighting them off with a stick! This is the best thing since sliced bread! A double bed that can be used but doesn't take weeks to make! clap yesss You are an angel Thank-you for saving me from hours of work and maybe even killing myself, or at least pulling all of my hair out! I would have ended up looking like this guy censored
I'll get back to you when I get the bed done clap I'm off to work type and because of you I'll even be whistle (I hope!) thanks1
