Okay. This is something I have been... toying with for a while.

A long while.

Tablecloths.

The idea is you can put a tablecloth on any table to make it fit it any room better.

Since all maxis tables were the same height the original idea was a flaoting rug just a touch above the table (since you only see the tops of objects any minor graphics intercetions would be blocked by the objects themselves.

Well that failed miserably.

Any Ideas how to make this work?

Here's what I learned when I made some doilies (which haven't been released yet) for my Shabby Chic theme:

It should be at the same height as the table or maybe one or two above but you don't want it too high or else it'll look too off. Then, you should take the Zs from the Maxis table with the darkest Zs and darken them by only about 1 or 2%. The idea is that they'll be just dark enough to cover the table's but not so dark that nothing could sit on the table without disappearing behind the cloth. (You may have to fill in gaps on the sides since most tables are just tops with legs and a table cloth would likely drape over it more.)

Hope that helps.

It does!

I was making it so much harder that it had to be. laugh

Thanks.

(Once I get it positioned I can toy with the drapery and such).
