Hello Everyone! smile

I was wondering if there are any covered tables that were made by custom content creators.

You know what I mean, right? A [cloth] covered table, like that would be found in a fancy restaurant.

White would be an awesome covered table color, but I don't have any covered tables at all! Downtown would be the perfect place for covered tables.

Therefore, I wanted to ask the great people here if they knew of any.

Thanks for your help, I appreciate it a lot! thumbsup

Around the Sims has a nice set or round tables featured on the first page.

She has more as well

(not fancy but striking:)

Bunny Wuffles did a red one with white lace that tiles well making larger tables when you need them as the formal part of her Reno set. It might not be the look you are thinking of, though.

I also have one in Ines' Old Town Bakery but I don't think it is what you are after. It is a little round table with a small cloth draped over it - rather casual. A recolor of the table Maxis put a crystal ball onto if I remember correctly.

Thanks, I completely forgot about ATS! SSoW is a great site and I even found an 'a la carte' buffet that I had not even known existed.
biggrin

I'm still looking for covered tables in white. I hope there are more out there. I could try making my own, but I have no idea how to get started!

There is actually one other from long ago that I didn't mention last night - Mal did one for a M&M Needful Things New Years set (bar/dance club). '06 or '-09, I think?I did the alphas for it so it was a sheer cloth but I can't remember the final product. I think the table was black with a white cloth.
I'm not well versed enough to know the newer sites off of the top of my head

Making one like the NT one is not a difficult task.
You literally start with a table that you like - one with good legs.
Then you grab something like Maxis' endtable (the one that matches the buffet table), shorten it. Leave the square top stationary and raise the bottom. remember how much you raise it by so you can do the same with the alpha. That will give you a nicer hem on the cloth.

When you layer the respective alphas change the cloth's blend layer mode to "lighten only".

When looking for table legs you don't need to stick with dining tables. End tables make some of my favorite table legs for 1 tile tables

What software do you recommend I use to make the table(s)?
(By make, I mean the design appearance as well as the programming.)
A Paint-like program? T-mog?

Are any of the needed programs still available out there somewhere?
Like I said, this is new to me. blush

Thanks for the information Raeven! thumbsup

Sims Interior Design has a nice clothed table in various colors that would go nicely in fancy resto.

Some Sim Things has many clothed tables, you can even click on them to change the tablecloth color smile

A large dining table with fancy white tablecloth can also be found in 7 Deadly Sims.

Dot also make a nice white one with pretty blue trim for her Le Patisserie set. It's in one of her YGs I believe.

Hi sinnocent,

Thanks for all the great info!

Unfortunately, 7 Deadly Sims is suffering from a Database Error at the moment. I don't know if there are any Yahoo Groups that host their content, unless the error is just temporary and they did not close up shop.

Speaking of Yahoo Groups, I don't know who 'Dot' is, so can you please provide me a link to her Yahoo Group(s)?

Thanks so much! smile

I'm sorry! Silly me laugh
Dot is Bunny Trail Sims. You can find the Le Patisserie set here:
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/bunnytrailsims/info
She makes beautiful stuff, so don't forget to check the rest of her creations while you're there.

I don't think 7DS has a YG (yet?).
Hopefully the error is only temporary.

A paint program (I use GIMP) and T-mog for the quickie 'collaging' together of existing graphics.

I am so embarrassed about forgetting the Some Simthings ones! That fourth one looks like t is probably perfect for you.

And the Sims Interior Design one is pretty much what I was describing (the buffet matching cloth over other table legs).
