I made an underwater landscape set using Blender. It is Cthulhu themed but most of the pieces are generic enough to work for mermaids or scuba divers or whatever else one might find in the sea.

The sprites are all finished except for the Z buffers, but my life's pretty hectic right now and I just feel like I've got enough on my plate without worrying about Z buffers.

So I'm putting up the sprites--and the two unfinished six-tile objects since I already have the positioning all worked out--in case anyone wants to finish them. I had every intention of doing it myself when I made the sprites, but I've got much bigger problems right now and I simply do not have the time or the presence of mind to finish this set.

I hope you don't mind me bring back a thread from the dead, but as I was searching for answers to my own object making quandries I came across this topic. I think the graphics have a lot of potential here!

I'm curious to know if anyone has made this into a working object set?

Pyro - I love the statues, but when I try to lighten them so that I can apply a texture - the detail disappears. Actually there is no detail!! no

I think I can work with the kelp!!

Would you by any chance have any renders or sprites that aren't green?

Actally I don't think I have any of the original models anymore, sorry mdamlady.

But.
After reviewing the objects in-game I realized there actually wasn't that much more that needed to be done to finish them off. Everything was offset from its tile, but they were all offset exactly 1 tile to the northeast... 64 pixels to the right, 33 pixels up. At every angle. surprise So once I realized that, it was pretty easy to fix it. I actually don't know why I didn't notice that sooner.

The finished set is available here. It's definitely not the prettiest thing I've ever made, but I still kinda like it. Maybe I'll make more pieces for it later.
