I have a 3 X 2 object that I'd like to shorten by 1 row of tiles to a 2 X 2, but still keep the usability.

I'll add a pic with X where I'd like to remove the tiles. Cloned from the Maxis Pier.

Any help? (that I can understand)

I have no clue how to help (other than to possibly suggest that you simply leave those 2 tiles empty) but wanted to say that that bridge looks awesome! thumbsup

Reviving this thread because I'm wanting to do the same thing. I need to remove all but 1 tile from a clone of a driveable car. I can't just change the base, because I need the car functions.

Or alternately, how do I make a 1-tile object function like this car without having to have the extra tiles? I've tried importing resources from the car onto my object, but to get it to work like I need in the game, I end up having all the extraneous tiles. I tried to find the base tile of the car, but I can't. I've never tried to do this kind of thing before, so I'm not really sure what I'm doing (obviously).

I ended up using all the tiles, but since then I've learned a few tricks with all those tiles.

If you leave all the tiles you don't need blank (yellow), then go into the iff and change the BHAVs on those tiles where they can be walked on or intersect anything else - you virtually have your 1 tile object!!

All the info on how to allow an item to "Intersect" and "Walk thru" are here at the forum!!

It may look weird when you first place it, but after that should work fine.

Are you using Space Cadet Driveable Car base? That makes for far less tiles to fiddle with!!

I'm helping Andre with an object he was working on. He's gotten it down to only having 1 tile with anything on it, the rest are just invisible like you said. We were just trying to eliminate the unnecessary tiles.
