In the new year my hunter gatherer simmies wanted to have a baby (while constructing a fish smoking station...don't ask me, why laugh ) , but...this Maxis crib? No way!

I have found several custum baby cribs, but nothing really matched the theme. The fish smoking station had to wait and we built baby cribs instead.

You decide when the baby will grow up to child - base by Inge at Simlogical.

laugh At least these are not as demanding as the Maxis babies.

Thanks, Zosa and André!

More people in the tribe means more need for housing and hunting:

Meanwhile a new door has opened on my site: HABITAT

http://doortomore.net/andrasta_habitat1.html

Earth is a wonderful planet: all the life which amazingly succeeds to thrive in so many different climates and environments. Also humans are survival artists, building their lives on what nature offers - knowledge and cultures which are about to be lost and forgotten.

This is what you can find there - you are entering the Arctic:

You make such beautiful and unique themed objects. I especially LOVE the belugas and the iceberg.

So happy you enjoy what I create thanks2
Zosa, what a honour :)
Thank you, Beverly and Karen!
Forestbalrog, and to think these are my first animals I made laugh
I'll try to make animals I am not able to find simmified already.

The tundra has also berries groundcover, animals can eat now - the black berries match my snackable bilberry in "dawn":

PostPosted: Tue Apr 10, 2018 5:02 am    Post subject: Fireweed Reply with quote

Arctic vegetation is inactive in the long winter as the plants snooze under snow blankets, awaiting the summer when a top layer of the tundra thaws. The thawing permafrost creates wetland conditions, dotting the landscape with countless lakes, bogs, streams and meadows. This, along with the long hours of sunlight, allows for much plant growth on the open tundra, and the landscape bursts into life with a variety of mosses, lichens, grasses, herbs, dwarf shrubs and flowering plants, like the Dwarf Fireweed.

It is a plant with large flowers that grows in sandy and gravelly moist soil, often along the banks of rivers and streams. Therefore it is also called "river beauty" and river beauty willowherb. All of the above-ground
parts are edible and were traditionally eaten raw as well as cooked for nutrition and a variety of medicinal purposes.

It is the national flower of Greenland, named Niviarsiaq (young girl) in Greenlandish. See more at http://www.expeditionarctic.ca/site/

Since when I've seen photos of polar bears amidst fireweed, I wanted the river beauty simmified to place a polar bear in it :-)

The flowers can be put on slopes and water and also inside a room. You can combine several plants on the same tile to build a lush flower field.
